After shearing and skirting the fleece, I gently hand wash the wool, then hand dye it using professional grade dyes.  The gorgeous Leicester Longwool locks take dye beautifully, and the roving shimmers in the light.  I handspin it on my Ashford Traditional wheel (bought in New Zealand in 1984.)  The wool makes a strong, lustrous yarn suitable for outerwear such as sweaters, vests, hats and scarves.
